This rural home is situated on the highest part of the village ´Albergaria dos Fusos´ at the place where ´Eiras´ (threshing-floors) where used to dry cereals, which also explains the name of the house, ´Alto da Eira´.The entry through the main door will immediately reveal an inviting interior where details were carefully kept by the owners, preserving the schist and the ceramic paving slabs as well, thus providing a natural ambience well integrated in the surroundings that allows a few days of total relaxation to its guests. An impressive wall surrounding the garden and terrace was built with stones collected in the fields by the owners. The spacious living room with typical fireplace and wood burning fumace were built to create comfort during the winter inviting its guests on a chat while enjoying a delightful environment. The four comfortable rooms all with private bathrooms combine the typical rusticity to the required comfort of nowadays. The whole interior decoration is dominated by wooden and iron furnishings made by a local craftsman giving to Casa do Alto da Eira its original characteristics.
