Quinta da Vineadouro is a family-owned secular property for over 250 years with unique characteristics in the Douro region, between the medieval castle of Numão and the sublimated Douro of Miguel Torga, offering an idyllic setting to celebrate the culture of wine, for its absolute tranquility and breathtaking landscape. The property has around 140 hectares while the vineyard occupies just over 4 hectares, spread on several locations and has more than 22 grape varieties. The “Coitadinha” vineyard is the ex-libris of the property: a centennial vineyard, planted in terraces, with the grape varieties mixed in a typical Douro field blend, where it is possible to find grape varieties like Bastardo, Carrega Branco, Casculho, Cornifesto, Folgasão, Malvasia Fina and among others. We produce white and red wines that have been inspired by the recovery of ancient aromas and flavours of the Douro Superior. Our winemaking philosophy is to produce wines with identity and a sense of place.
