Quinta da Chouza Agroturismo e Enoturismo has a unique setting, crossed by a stream that culminates in a magnificent river beach. Around it, the mill buildings, with waterfalls, allow you to enjoy a space of complete tranquility surrounded by a leafy forest of oak trees and other ornamental plants. The Quinta has a set of structures, equipment and complementary services, with a view to offering a complete and diverse tourist product. It offers 5 accommodations/rooms, distributed in 3 completely independent houses, the main house has 3 bedrooms and each mill house has a bedroom, each room with a private bathroom, 3 barbecues/equipped kitchens, each house has an exclusive kitchen/barbecue, outdoor swimming pool, with sun loungers duly identified by house as well as parasols and sun terraces, small private river beach with boat for short rides, a large variety of animals, area surrounded by vineyards, forest and gardens. The main objective is to provide a family-run accommodation service in order to provide a hospitable and personalized welcome, as well as to provide support, knowledge and even participation of tourists in the farm's agricultural activities. Quinta da Chouza, located in Fermil de Basto, in the Basto dos Vinhos Verdes sub-region, has the privilege of being a space blessed with a natural and idyllic terroir for the production of high-quality white and sparkling wines, under the CHÃO DO RIO brand. The CHÃO DO RIO wines are blessed with the good local edaphoclimatic conditions, in an idyllic terroir for the production of different white and sparkling wines. The wines designed here reveal a notable acidity, wrapped in striking floral notes with a persistence of citrus fruit, which together give the wine a harmonious elegance. The winemaking process is carried out in the estate's winery, equipped with the necessary technology to ensure that the most appropriate methods for producing Vinho Verde and sparkling wines have been respected, which have earned them such fame. The sparkling wines, CHÃO DO RIO, produced from the estate's grape varieties at different levels of maturity, allow for the production of highly refined, structured wines with a long-lasting aftertaste, with long-lasting aromas, which allow them to be enjoyed at different times. Quinta da Chouza and CHÃO DO RIO wines now have a new space in their tourist offering, a WINE ROOM and TASTING ROOM. It was conceived and designed with the aim of meeting the needs of an increasingly versatile and eclectic public interested in finding out more about the wines produced in the area and in the region, but also with the aim of promoting the sparkling wine and Vinho Verde products from the Basto Sub-Region.
