Quinta do Monte Travesso belongs to the Naples de Carvalho family for five generations, since the founder of the House of Douro, great grandfather of the current owners, offered this beautiful property to his daughter as a wedding gift. It was then that the current vineyards were planted and the first wines elaborated, in the same cellars where the wines are still vinified. Currently, Quinta do Monte Travesso offers its visitors Visits and Wine Tastings (pre-booking required) and also has two Country Houses (Casa da Tília and Casa do Sousão) available for a perfect stay, overlooking the vineyards of the property and perfect for a relaxing and quiet stay, which only the Douro and Quinta do Monte Travesso can offer.
