The Loja Amarela is a handicraft shop in Provesende in the Douro vineyard area of north eastern Portugal. Provesende is situated close to the river Douro, between Pinhão and Sabrosa and about a fifteen minute drive from Vila Real. It is a really charming Douro village perched high on the hills above the Douro river with spectacular views down the Pinhão valley.The Loja Amarela sells traditional, handmade articles from all over Portugal - pottery, baskets, rugs, linen, soaps, sheepskin slippers, cork jewellery amongst many other things, made by artisans from various regions of the country.
