About
Carol Park – officially known as Parcul Carol – is Bucharest’s largest and most historic green space, covering 36 hectares on Filaret Hill. Designed by French landscape artist Édouard Redont in 1900 and opened in 1906, the park blends manicured gardens, lush lawns, and winding paths with a wealth of cultural landmarks. Visitors wander past the majestic Cantacuzino Fountain, the shimmering Giant statues, and the evocative Zodiac fountain, while leisurely exploring the park’s many greenhouses, playgrounds, and lakes.
