In 1967, on the Boulevard of the Composers in the Drumul Taberelor neighborhood, Restaurant Drumetul opened its doors for the first time. In a short time, the place begins to gain prestige, through the quality of its culinary dishes, but also through its modern architecture, thus being visited more and more often by celebrities, artists and personalities of that time. As nowadays and then, although the political regime of that period was rigorous, often artistic programs with party music were held in the place. Tourists were not absent, being attracted by traditional Romanian dishes, but also curious to see how Romanians spend under a restrictive regime, so they found that although the times were severe, the Romanian was full of joy and partying by nature.
