The story of Italo's Prodotti Italiani Gourmet brand starts from an Italian entrepreneur who has been living in Romania for many years. Out of a desire to bring the complexity and quality of Italian cuisine to our country, he created a new store concept. Although there are Italian products in the market, here at Italo's we want to bring a special depth to the culinary experience with products specific to certain regions of Italy. The reason we do this is very simple. For example, Transylvanian and Moldavian dishes differ quite a bit due to geographical region and outside influences. In Italy even the climate differs greatly between the northern and southern regions due to the mountains. Mediterranean cuisine in southern Italy has Arab influences, while northern cuisine has a mix of Roman and German influences. It is fair to say that Italian products are much more complex than we might imagine. Pizza and pasta, the country's famous dishes, are only a small part of the big picture.
