We are a specialty coffee shop located in the heart of Iași, near Piața Unirii / Union Square, in a historic building dating back to 1908, the Streit House. Negru Zi represents the vision of two local entrepreneurs, husband and wife, a geographer and an actress, who aimed to showcase the creativity, the principles of sustainability and the need for self-expression. Its proximity to the Faculties of Theatre and Music, the tradition of the former Arte Bar in attracting theatre and improvisation groups, the need for an independent, flexible stage, as well as the passion for coffee and hospitality, were the foundations of this project. It is also a reference to the street „Costache Negruzzi”, named after the homonymous writer and playwright who lived nearby. There are two rooms - the "Amphitheater" dedicated to the performing arts and the "Atelier" dedicated to visual arts .
