Grand Hotel Sofianu, is the only hotel-art museum in Romania, located in the beautiful Zavoi Park in Ramnicu Valcea, which has an area of 17 hectares, at just 300 meters from the city center. The hotel hosts the works of the most representative 500 romanian plastic artists. The 61 classically decorated rooms have all the facilities of a modern hotel including air conditioning, minibar, flat screen TV with international channels, access card, safe, WiFi and cable internet, 24h reception, ATM. Guests also have free access to the hotel's swimming pool, dry sauna, wet sauna, Wifi internet and private parking, permanently supervised. On the hotel’s ground floor are located the ART Bar and the Four Seasons restaurant where our bartenders and experienced chefs offer you a refined contemporary menu and a buffet breakfast. Vegetarian and dietetic dishes can be prepared upon request. The terrace of the restaurant, surrounded by Zavoi Park, is the perfect place where our guests can enjoy alcoholic and soft drinks, coffee, tea, as well as various romanian and international dishes. Inside the hotel there is a wellness center that includes: heated indoor pool with countercurrent equipment, dry sauna, wet sauna, massage and hydromassage center, fitness room equipped with professional cardio equipment. At outdoors, inside the park, there are running tracks, 2 outdoor fitness areas, and for children 6 playgrounds and a skatepark. In the immediate vicinity of the park there is a football field and 4 tennis courts that can be rented by the hour. The hotel is situated in the middle of the famous balneoclimateric resorts Călimăneşti, Băile Olăneşti and Govora and 7 km from the Ocnele Mari Saltwork. Within a radius of 45 km from the hotel there are also the famous monasteries and hermitages such as: Cozia Monastery (23 km), Frăsina Monastery (24 km), Dintr-un Lemn Monastery (27 km), Surpatele Monastery (31 km) Bistrita Monastery (45 km), Arnota Monastery (50 km), Hurezi Monastery (45 km), as well as the renowned Drăgăşani vineyards. For organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, teambuildings or meetings, the hotel offers 5 very versatile halls, accommodating a wide variety of corporate or personal events.
