The pension is a traditional 100 years Saxon house with a view to the UNESCO patrimony monuments, the Evangelic Church and the Defence fortress built in 1307. the Saschiz village is situated in Nature 2000 area. The last medieval inhabited fortress, Sighisoara, is at a 10 minutes driving distance. The pension hosts the only ''Cooking Museum'' in Romania and a ''Saxon Family'' small museum, with free access to our tourists. Bycicles are provided free of charge by us and a new bike road is linking Viscri-Saschiz and Sighisoara, all of them UNESCO sites. Ecological traditional food prepared from products from our farm, after traditional recipes going back 500 years are offered at the pension. One can experience the home made bread making and the home made butter production in our court or taste the jams and honey produced also for Prince Charles (UK) at the local food processing workshops in the village.The Roman Fortress called ''The Giants Fortress'', placed at the margin of Saschiz, still waits to be discovered after archeologists started the excavations in 1949. Bird and animal watching can be done on individual base in the area. Various other circuits and excursions cadn be organised upon request. Transport from Sighisoara railway or Targu Mures airport can be organised upon request and will be charged.
