Our cultural coffee-shop is the best choice if you are looking to relax.Situated in the town centre with easy parking possibility, close to the main public transportation service, we offer a rich choice of coffees, lemonades, soft drinks, beer, wine and tasty sweets. The daily newspapers, books, free Wi-Fi, quality music, board games, excellent guest service are just some of our strong points.We organize film- and theatre-projections, host debates, artistic-cultural related talks and offer the possibility for artist to exhibit.Being a non-smoking coffee-shop we keep special seats in the smoking room and on our balcony for those, who can not imagine their coffee without smoking. The name of the coffee house originates from the famous bow ties Ion Ratiu wore. On the Romanian political scene, the bow tie will for many years be associated with Ion Ratiu, with his clarity of vision, his blunt approach, his impeccable manners and his sartorial elegance - according to some - "the best president Romania never had". Initiated by Pamela Ratiu, Executive Director of Ratiu Family Charitable Foundation to Romania, "La Papion" generates sustainable revenue to support programs and projects implemented by the Ratiu Center for Democracy.
