Back in its heydays in the 1920s, the Ruski Car tavern was known as “the place where people come to be seen”, with ladies and courtiers flocking to the premises to snatch their best seats. Today, almost a hundred years later, it is once again the place where you come to experience the essence of the Serbian capital - its rich heritage engraved within the tavern walls where the vintage bohemian spirit still lingers across. We are proud of to be hosted inside a magnificent state-protected edifice, but it’s not the architecture that makes a place special. It’s our every regular afternoon guest and late night stroller, the occasional traveler and the silent love couple, the jaunty group of friends at their graduation anniversary and the cocktail sipping patrons on a weekend night out.
