Entry with reservation made on website/phone call only. Welcome to the amazing journey through Magic Garden. This magical place originated in the 1960s on the outskirts of Bratislava in the urban district of Podunajské Biskupice, born from the talent and passion for art of Andrej and Mária Rudavský, who were among the most prominent figures in the visual arts of their generation. This extraordinary sculpture garden can be compared to artistic exteriors such as Chandigarh, Le Corbusier’s modernist architectural utopia in India, the Tarot Garden in Tuscany, Gaudi’s Park Güell, Edward James‘ Las Pozas in Xilitla, Mexico, the Hill of Witches near Juodkrante in Lithuania... Legends of the visual arts from the Galanda group, as well as personalities from other artistic genres, actors, directors, writers, musicians, gathered in the Magic Garden. Despite the reluctance of the communist regime, the garden expanded, and its Genius loci never left it.
