The visitor centre at the Donau-Auen National Park in Orth on the Danube beckons as "Gateway to the Wetlands" - the starting place for getting to know the fascinating world of the Danube wetlands. Every visit is made more special by taking a national park guided tour! Only 15 km outside the Vienna city limits. SchlossORTH National Park Centre offers: information and reservations, multimedia exhibit "DonAUraume", the so called Schlossinsel area ("castle island") on the grounds including underwater observatory, lookout point and castle courtyard, National park shop and Cafe and event centre of the town of Orth an der Donau. Opening hours: From 21 March to 30 September, daily from 9 a.M. To 6 p.M. From 1 October to 1 November, daily from 9 a.M. To 5 p.M.
