The hotel is situated in the heart of Tatranská Lomnica, a sport and cultural centre of the High Tatras, which lies directly at the foot of the Lomnica Peak (Lomnický štít). Nearby the hotel you can find the Museum of TANAP (Tatra National Park), Ski Museum and Botanical Garden. In the summer season it is an ideal starting point for alpine hiking and trips. 300 m from the hotel it is the starting station of the cable car to Rocky Mountain Lake with the possibility to change to the Lomnica Peak (Lomnický štít). The surrounding area offers trails suitable for mountain cycling. In winter, nearby the hotel skiers can enjoy the highest and the steepest slope in Slovakia. You can ski 6.5 km long slope from a height of 2,196 m above sea level through the Lomnica Sag (Lomnické sedlo) to Tatranská Lomnica (850 m). The centre also offers lower-difficulty slopes. Skiers can enjoy the most modern cable cars and chair lifts. The area offers various winter activities.
