Jameos del Agua is a breathtaking volcanic cave complex located in the municipality of Haría, Lanzarote, that blends natural wonder with artistic vision. Designed by César Manrique, the center opens visitors into a subterranean salt lake and a series of lava tubes that house the unique blind lobster, a protected species of crustacean. Inside, the space is transformed into a cultural hub featuring an elegant auditorium, a museum—Casa de los Volcanes—that showcases volcanic geology, and a restaurant with a pool overlooking the crystal‑clear underground lake. Beyond its scientific significance, Jameos del Agua offers an immersive acoustic experience in its volcanic auditorium and hosts a variety of cultural events ranging from concerts to exhibitions. The site is free of charge for children aged zero to six, while adulthood admission is modest, making it an accessible destination for families and history enthusiasts alike. Guests can also explore the premium “Insólita Jameos” experience, which unlocks hidden chambers such as the “Jameo de la Cazuela” and the “Casa de los Volcanes.” All tickets are valid for three months from issuance, do not require prior reservation, and can be purchased online via the CACT Lanzarote ticket portal.
