La Casona de Nazaret

20 Years ago we bought an old ruin that we turned into our home. Now it has become a B&B. It has 3 en suite bedrooms, a livingroom, and a place to read in front of the chimney. In the barbecue, we've set a kitchen to be used by the guests. In the dinning room we serve for breakfast yogurt, juice and homemade marmalade. We also have hens and we can prepare omelettes. The B&B has different places (in it's 1700 sq meters) for activities, such as sunbathing in the terrace, reading under the tree, or watching sun set behind the volcanoes. The house is in a quiet and peaceful town and being in the center of the island makes it close to many interesting places in the island. Merely 15km away there is Famara beach, Las Cucharas in Costa Teguise and Arrieta in the north. Famara is a place for sports like surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and hang gliding. In Costa Teguise diving is practised, and there is also an area for windsurfing. Arrieta on the other hand is a quieter place, ideal for swimming, to spend the day and eat out. For golfers there are at similar distances the golf course of Costa teguise and the one in Puerto del Carmen. In the town there is also Omar Sharif's house built carved into the side of the hill which is now part museum part bar is a nice place for drinks. Only 2 km away there is Teguise, the former capital. On sundays it's streets become a street market where you can taste the local queese and wine. The Area of La Geria is where all the important wineries are located (El Grifo, Stratus...). Finally Timanfaya National Park, with more than 25 volcanoes and red coloured land makes you believe you are in Mars.
