- Last entry: 30 minutes before closing time; - The Santa Luzia Fort is a fort built on a hill a few hundred meters away from the 17th century walls, in 1641, during the Portuguese Restoration War. It is one of the best and most genuine examples of the European art of fortification, one of the most significant military monuments of this period and another masterpiece of the military architecture of Elvas.
