L’Aquarium de Barcelona
About
L’Aquàrium de Barcelona is a flagship marine attraction situated in the historic Port Vell. The complex houses 66 different tanks—including the world’s largest Oceanarium—and offers a panoramic 80‑metre tunnel that allows visitors to walk among sharks, rays and other Mediterranean wonders. It also showcases immersive exhibits such as Planeta Aqua, which covers cold, tropical and marine ecosystems with interactive stations, and a range of themed aquariums featuring dolphins, penguins and sea dragons. Guided shark encounters, “Night with Sharks” events, and educational programs across all age groups make it a leading destination for families, marine enthusiasts and eco‑travelers alike. With 365‑day operation, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 21:00 p.m., it draws over 40 million visitors since its 1995 inauguration.
