Restaurant Rene
About
Traditional Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine with French touches. We offer the highest quality using local produce. A simple yet elaborate menu that maintains Reñé's identity in the neighborhood . With a renewed narrative and image, we encourage the art of storytelling through the art-deco textures, aromatic scents, and luscious sounds from our live musicians. Restaurant Reñé in Barcelona, was once a confectionery shop started in 1910, although as early as 1892, the Reñé family had setup their factory there. The shop was once again decorated by Enric Llardent, who mainly used two materials: marble for the baseboards of the shop windows, and Cuban mahogany for all the frames. Inside, the large display cases, also with wooden frames, and the plaster ornamentation of the ceiling are preserved. Since 2003 the establishment has been dedicated to catering. After a long hiatus, Reñé is now curated by Lonesome Dog and has returned in a new shape and form.
