Museo Foro Romano Molinete
About
The Molinete Roman Forum Museum opens the door to one of Spain’s largest urban archaeological parks, offering visitors a walking tour through the remains of the ancient city of Carthago Nova. Its three‑floor layout showcases a curated selection of over 300 artifacts—paintings of Apollo and the muses, the horn of plenty, mosaics, and more—while guiding visitors past the key civic and religious structures: the Curia, the Sanctuary of Isis, the Atrium Building, and the historic thermal baths of the port. Guided tours are available hourly during all seasons, and the museum provides free audio‑guide services in Spanish, English, French and Russian, as well as a 360° virtual reality app for interactive exploration. Visitors may enter for a flat fee of €7, with a reduced rate of €6 for children under 12, students, youth card holders, pensioners, and disabled guests. The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00 in the high season, 10:00 to 19:00 in the medium season, and 10:00 to 17:30 in the low season. During peak summer months (July–September) the museum is especially lively, with extended hours, workshops, and special exhibitions. Families and history lovers alike are drawn to its authentic Roman atmosphere, while visitors can explore the cultural layers of Cartagena’s past and present in equal measure.
