NATURAL SANCTUARY IN THE HILLS NEAR SEVILLE THIS RESTORED MONASTERY OFFERS A HAVEN OF PEACE IN A STUNNING SETTING OF GREAT BEAUTY WITH A UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE. Amidst the Natural Park of Sierra Norte in the hills northeast of Seville in Southern Spain wonderful historic site of the former 15th Cent. Carthusian monastery. Nowadays, WEDDINGS, private and cultural events and Mindfulness SILENCE RETREATS are held. With Moorish remains dating back to the 8th Century, and with the original monks'settlement having been started in 1416, this Historic Heritage Site (B.I.C. in Spanish) and private monument nowadays can be visited on weekends and national holidays. 70% of the buildings have been consolidated and restored, from its state of ruin in which it was found in the mid-1970's, after being abandoned for 150 years since 1836. spectacular views all around from the roof terraces. One can appreciate the 4 arquitectural styles: moorish, Gothic Sevillian , Barroque Navarre and Renaissance.
