Arenal Promenade
About
El Arenal is the most popular and single-sand beach in the municipality of Xàbia, located in the heart of the marina bay. Spread over approximately 480 metres of gentle, fine sand, the beach offers shallow waters that are ideal for families, snorkelers and anyone looking for a safe and relaxed seaside experience. Beyond its sandy shore, the beach provides a small channel along the northern edge that allows small boats to access the sea, and both ends of the beach feature scenic viewpoints – the Punta de Arenal with its Parador de Turismo and the Mirador Punta del Castell to the south, which offer panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean. Visitors can enjoy a variety of services, including toilets, wheelchair-accessible paths, a lifeguard station, a small playground, and nearby restaurants and cafés. The beach is free‑to‑enter and open year‑round, attracting visitors of all ages. The atmosphere is relaxed most of the day, with a pleasant mix of sun‑bathers, swimmers, and families strolling along the promenade. Although it can become busy during the high season, visitors still find ample space to soak up the sun and enjoy the clear waters. Whether you are planning a family day out, a romantic walk by the sea, or a quick escape from the bustle of the town centre, El Arenal offers a quintessential Spanish beach experience in a friendly, accessible setting.
