Aquarium Cap Blanc
About
Set deep within the natural limestone caves of Ibiza, the Aquarium Cap Blanc offers a truly unique marine experience unlike any other on the island. The 370 m² cave, divided by bridges and lighting, houses a vibrant collection of Mediterranean species — from sleek barracuda and colourful octopus to graceful sea bream. The aquarists have meticulously created brackish zones that keep the water constantly circulating, giving the fish an almost natural feel. A highlight for visitors is the carefully curated display of shark eggs, sea sponges, gastropods and the collection of beautiful scallop shells that adorn the caves. Six large glass‑tanked enclosures, each with a distinct size, showcase the diversity of shellfish and smaller fish that thrive in the sea’s varied micro‑habitats. The site is helmed by a dedicated team who ensures the environment remains pristine. With daily appedicated hours, the aquarium operates from 10 am to 6 pm in the warmer months and, during the winter season, offers Saturday openings from 10 am to 1 pm. Families and couples alike enjoy strolling through the dimly lit chambers, taking in the cool rush of the water and the gentle sway of the coral lamps. The aquarium’s location in the heart of Sant Antoni de Portmany ensures easy access by car or public transport, and the surrounding promenade offers excellent dining options for those wishing to sample local cuisine after a visit.
