Cortijo Grande is a beautiful old Spanish farmhouse which has been lovingly restored, with a variety of accommodation available. You can choose from a self- catering apartment or luxurious double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Based 1 km from Lubrin in a valley called La Alcarria. The house is set in 4 acres of terraced land, planted with olive, almond and fruit trees. We are in rural area of Spain where life is very laid back so a great place to relax, walk, read and recharge. The village of Lubrin is a pretty Spanish village with all the essentials, butchers, bakers, (not sure about candle stick makers), pharmacy and general stores. There are various bars where you can sit and watch the world go by whilst enjoying a ‘café con leche’ or cold ‘cerveza’ and tapa. There are plenty of places to explore nearby; the coast is only about 40 minutes away or you can be at the second highest point in Andalucía within an hour. The city of Almeria is also worth a visit if you can drag yourselves away from the peace and quiet of Lubrin. Cortijo Grande also hosts various retreats and holidays, including yoga, cycling and painting.
