Territorio Artlanza
About
Territorio Artlanza is a unique open‑air attraction nestled in the historic valley of the Arlanza, between Lerma and Covarrubias in northern Spain. The site is a medieval‑style village created by sculptor Félix Yáñez, who used recycled materials—such as discarded bricks and wood—to replicate Spanish towns from the Middle Ages to the early twentieth century. At the heart of the complex stands the world’s largest single‑person sculpture, covering over 30 000 m², which doubles as a miniature urban landscape and hosts a variety of thematic museums, art exhibitions, and film, flamenco, and poetry festivals during the summer. Visitors can wander through its many streets, plazas, and “corral de comedias” transforming into cultural hotspots during the annual National Chamber Theatre Festival. Workshops for primary school children, guided tours, and a souvenir shop with ceramic and local crafts are also available. The attraction runs daily from 11:00 to 18:00; families and art lovers alike can enjoy a flexible, free‑flowing experience while supporting regional artisans.
