Our traditional cuisine admits innovation and "signature cuisine" wherever it is feasible but never with a fabe dish - either the traditional fabada or "le fabes con almejes" - our sweet and round rice dishes, Asturian tripe or our incomparable "Mexican dishes", as a tribute to our ancestors who built a bridge between Asturias and America. Some of our elaborations are legendary in Villa de Llanes, such as the «Rollo de bonito» or the homemade «Pate de cabracho»; the “Hake loins with cider” or the “Cantabrian squid”; the “Asturian veal sirloin escalopines al Tío Pepe” or the “Pitu de caleya stewed in a pan as before”, without forgetting our “Asturian veal cachopo (PGI)”. In desserts, a real "Rice pudding" and a good number of homemade cakes are inevitable: almond, apple, blue cheese ...
