CAEaCLAVELES Hotel is a unique project, awarded with the Asturias Architectural prize 2012, and listed as one of the 100 Spain essentials by MONOCLE magazine. Designed by longo+roldan architects combines a five-room-hotel with the art studio/residence of the owner and promoter, the artist Emma Fernandez. The hotel is located in a 8,000 m2 land, in LLanes (Asturias-Spain) A prime location between the Cantabrian Spanish shore and the "Sierra del Cuera" a protected mountain chain aligned parallel to the seaside, a karstic landscape characterized by numerous terrain elevations and gentle slopes. The hotel concept is based in the design and personal treat as the main business guidelines. The five rooms with gross floor areas of 40, 35 and 25 m2 have large panoramic windows with views and access to the forest. All spaces are equipped with only the most necessary furniture, the newest technologies and art pieces developed by the owner that can also be acquired.
