Bodega El Fabulista
About
Bodega El Fabulista, hidden beneath the 17th‑century Palace of the Samaniego family in the medieval town of Laguardia, offers a truly enchanting wine‑tasting experience. Seven metres below the stone walls, the winery’s underground cellars reveal the meticulous traditions of Rioja winemaking, including the rare carbonic maceration process that gives its reds their distinctive character. Guided tours take guests from the loading bays to the aging chambers, showcasing the entire journey from grape to glass. In addition, the historic home of famed fable writer Félix María de Samaniego is celebrated through themed labels, storytelling sessions, and a specially curated children’s area that blends literature, history and gastronomy.
