The Plaza de Toros de Mijas, built in 1900, sits atop a rocky outcrop in the historic La Muralla district of Mijas. The oval fighting ring is surrounded by facilities such as an infirmary, a chapel and a slaughterhouse section, while its walls showcase ceramic decorations commemorating famous bullfighters like Miguel Camarita and Paquirri. Once owned by the late bullfighter Antonio José Galán, the arena remains a notable landmark of Andalusian bullfighting heritage.
