Playa de Cantarrijan
About
Playa de Cantarriján is one of Spain’s most celebrated nudist beaches, situated within the Maro‑Cerro Gordo natural park at the edge of Granada’s coastline. The long, 380‑metre stretch of pebbled shore is divided by a prominent rock and offers crystal‑clear waters, gentle waves, and dramatic cliffs that provide a dramatic backdrop for sun‑bathing and swimming. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed, tolerant atmosphere where nudism is the norm, while still having the option of wearing swimwear if desired. The beach features a free parking area close to the national road, and during the summer season, a small microbus shuttle (2 € round‑trip) connects the parking lot with the shore for those who prefer to walk or cycle. The surrounding landscape is a blend of rugged pine and arboreal oak groves, offering splendid sunset views and excellent snorkeling opportunities. Two popular chiringuitos—La Barraca and La Bola Marina—provide food, refreshments, and shelter without requiring patrons to remove clothing, allowing visitors to mix leisure, cuisine, and a natural setting. An active community runs regular events such as spa days, book exchanges, and guided nature walks. Membership in the local Association of Friends of the Playa Nudista Cantarriján (AAPNC) offers additional benefits, including access to exclusive activities, discounts on equipment rentals, and a chance to participate in communication and organizational meetings.
