Finca El Pocico
About
El Pocico (“the Little Well” in Spanish) is a group of typical local rural houses owing its name to the not-so-distant times when rainfall was more abundant and seasonal in the area. In those times, there used to be natural water springs in front of the house complex – some elderly locals even report that there used to be a waterwheel pumping the water up for drinking. Located in Murcia, its area is 59.3 (146.5 acres) hectares with almond, olive and carob crops, as well as understory and pine areas. Part of this area is now undergoing reforestation. It is located in an ideal environment to disconnect and do all kinds of activities such as horseback riding, tracking, observing fauna and flora, or simply resting with friends and family. Those keen on astronomy will find plenty of interest here. The place is far away from light pollution, and the stars and constellations – and, sometimes, wonderful moonlit nights – are there to be enjoyed on the estate. Our guests can enjoy our swimming pool, in harmony with the environment and perfect for the long, sunny, typical Mediterranean days. For the winter, the houses are fitted with fireplaces to create a warm, homely atmosphere.
