About

The Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró in Mallorca is a contemporary museum dedicated to the extraordinary work of Spanish artist Joan Miró. Situated in Palma de Mallorca, the foundation comprises three distinct buildings – the avant‑garde Moneo Building, the historic Sert workshop, and the charming Son Boter villa – each showcasing different phases of Miró’s creative journey. Visitors can explore more than 6,000 artworks, including paintings, sculptures, drawings and murals, as well as Miró’s former studios and a vast decorative collection. The museum’s architecture, designed by Rafael Moneo and Josep Lluís Sert, offers an inspiring backdrop to the colorful, surrealist pieces on display. In addition to permanent exhibitions, the foundation hosts temporary displays, cultural events and educational programs for schools and families, making it a vibrant centre for contemporary art and cultural heritage.
