About
Chipiona Lighthouse, or Faro de Chipiona, is an iconic 19th‑century beacon perched on Punta del Perro in the Andalusian town of Chipiona. Completed in 1867, the 62‑metre tower is the tallest lighthouse in Spain and the seventeenth tallest traditional lighthouse worldwide. Visitors can climb 344 steps to the balcony and lantern room, exploring the lantern gallery and enjoying panoramic views of the Atlantic coast. The lighthouse remains an active navigational aid, flashing a white light every ten seconds.
