Constructed in 1930 and fully restored in 2018, this three-story luxury home rental townhouse blends indoor and outdoor living spaces and transmits a feeling of serenity with high-end design in harmony with the home’s original modernist architecture. Casa Bencomo showcases designer furniture pieces by Arne Jacobsen, Pastoe, Mornernica and Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. The house The elegance of the Casa Bencomo is defined by its balance of clean lines, natural light that pours through and the high-quality natural materials use to create its timeless beauty. The luxury of the house is evident in every detail: from the Dornbracht taps to the original Tezzarro stone staircase with teak railing. Original works of art, designer furniture and period pieces give this house an originality and elegance difficult to find elsewhere. Ground floor Step into Casa Bencomo and the first thing you will notice is the original modernist staircase that curves up all three stories of the home. The asymmetric teak wood curved bannister reinforces the elegant aesthetic of this 20th-century modernist luxury home rental. Sunlight floods the entrance from the solarium on the roof terrace. Concrete flooring runs through the ground floor of the home contrasting with the stark white walls and high ceilings and original Terrazzo stone staircase. Features original Cactus Coat Rack sculpture by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello for Gufram (c. 1972) and artwork by Oscar Latuag. Living room and dining room Through the glass panel French doors into the light-filled living and dining room with a low modular sofa by Spanish luxury furniture designer Sancal and curation of 60s and 70s vintage and modern designer furniture. The large oval dining table longing to be used by a small group of friends or family to enjoy the intimate setting for dinner and drinks, well into the evening. Swing open the patio doors and let the cool breeze from the garden flow into the house. Kitchen The custom-designed kitchen has a marble worktop and integrated premium induction hob, Miele dishwasher, SMEG oven and an eclectic collection of artisan and designer kitchenware from around the world to make cooking in the kitchen a real pleasure. French doors lead from the kitchen to the garden. Patio Glass panel doors take you from the kitchen to the large patio and tropical garden, where you can dine alfresco with the sound of the wind rustling in the giant banana leaves. Relax with an aperitif in the AA butterfly chairs by Airborne, soaking up the warm sun, and then cool your skin under an outdoor shower fountain. Wall sculpture by Tenerife artist Oscar Latuag. The vintage Chinoiserie chair gives the dressing room an exotic feel and an original vintage Pastoe vanity shelving adds a pop of 1950s retro color. Double bedroom The second bedroom has a king-size bed (160 x 200 cm) with a latex mattress, vintage accessories, and access to the front balcony with a table and 3 chairs.
