Herreros is a hamlet in the interior of Castilla y León defined as an area of pine forests located about 1120 meters SLM. There are 17 inhabitants in winter and you reach 400 in summer. We are adequately situated, more or less halfway between the entrance from the north of Spain and the summer residences of the brits on the mediterranean coast and vice versa in winter. Also for travellers going to Portugal or heading to France. We are surrounded by pines, oaks, holm trees, juniper pine etc. in addition to the mushrooms / boletus growing here in abundance. It is also a truffle area and in February the truffle fair is held in Abejar only 5 km from here. We are surrounded by pastures where free range cattle is fed peacefully and that is why you can find such an excellent meat mainfully from the breed called the" Soriana black". Soria also produces a very special Soriana butter (sweet or truffled). We have a farm a few kilometers away where they raise ducks for the production of a delicious foie. In Soria we have the best "torrezno" ( or so they say ...) Our Peña Gamella beach is the wildest and most natural in the area and allows fishing, windsurfing, canoeing, swimming or sunbathing in the middle of nature. The town has spring water; What more could you want? What we most like is to make our guests feel at home. When we receive them we try to guide everyone where to go according to their needs and we prepare ad hoc routes if they wish. We are pleased to share all the good things this land has with our guests. Our vocation is dedicating our life to rural, simple and genuine lodging, offering our hospitality and also preparing slow cooking homemade food for our clients with local products.
