Salinas de Janubio is a historic salt factory located in the picturesque southwestern part of Lanzarote, operating for more than a century. Founded in 1895, the salt pans cover an area of 440,000 square metres and employ traditional harvesting methods that blend the sea, the island’s unique climate and the expertise of local saltmasters. The factory produces a range of high‑quality sea salt, Flor de Sal, and flavored salts that are prized by chefs and food lovers worldwide. Visitors can book guided tours to explore the extensive salt flats, learn about the manual processes that give the product its distinctive flavor, and sample the products in the onsite boutique.
