About
Puente de San Martín, also known as St. Martin's Bridge, is a medieval stone arch bridge spanning the Tagus River in Toledo, Spain. Constructed in the late 14th century under Archbishop Pedro Tenorio, the bridge features five elegant arches; the central span measures 40 meters, a remarkable length for its time. The bridge’s sides were fortified with towers dating from the 16th century, linking it to Toledo’s old town and serving as a vital pedestrian crossing that has weathered centuries of history.
