Artium Museum

About

Artium is the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Basque Country. The Museum houses a grand collection devoted to basque and spanish artists belonging to 20th and 21st centuries. Artium also holds several exhibitions on contemporary art. The museum's architecture is unique. Althoug in the outside the visitor can see sculptures by Richard Serra, Eduardo Chillida and Jorge Oteiza, the galleries are mostly below street level and, just as in a wine cellar, the best is almost out of sight. Families are welcome.
