About
The White Gold industry played a decisive role in the foundation and economic development of Leintz-Gatzaga. Standing at the foot of the former Dorleta castle, the Eco-museum recreates the close history shared by the town and salt, explaining how its harvesting evolved from the Iron Age until 1972, the year the local salt works closed its doors owing to the competition from sea salt.
