Risten - Lakvik Museum Railway is a narrow gauge railway (600 mm) operated by a non-profit organisation. It has a starting point at Lakvik, situated between Linköping and Åtvidaberg in the south east of Sweden The railway is built on a stretch of embankment earlier used by an 891 mm gauge railway running from Norsholm to Västervik and Hultsfred At Lakvik buildings and rolling stock has been collected both from passenger carrying and industrial railways. In the inventory there are three steam locomotives, two pneumatic locomotives and several locomotives with combustion engines as well as two of Sweden’s oldest passenger cars from the Åtvidaberg – Bersbo railway. The railway offers a short but scenic trip down to lake Risten where there is swimming opportunities. At Lakvik there is a café serving home baked coffee bread Bring friends and relatives for a visit at our railway and enjoy a bit of industrial history together with a cup of coffee
