Welcome to Café Sápmi, a restaurant where we celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Sámi through delicious and authentic cuisine. Here you will find traditional recipes with a modern twist, made by locally produced food. Márkanbáiki - Sámi open-air museum is an easily accessible day visit venue in the village of Jukkasjärvi. The site features a reconstructed Sámi camp, grazing reindeer, outdoor exhibitions about Sami culture and livelihoods. Sale of genuine Sami handicraft and deli in adjacent shop. Ideal for day visitors with a limited amount of time, but still an interest to get an introduction to Sami culture, food and reindeer. Located next to Jukkasjärvi church and in 900 m walking distance from ICEHOTEL. Bus 501 from Kiruna. Reindeer are not residing there between end of April until early June.
