Welcome to the Film Museum and feel the atmosphere of the film's childhood! It was here, in the attic studio on Östra Storgatan in Kristianstad, it all began. In 1905, industrialist Nylander and bookkeepers Björkman formed Handelsbolaget Kristianstads Biograf-Teater. A few years later the company was converted into AB Svenska Biografteatern. One employee was aspiring film legend Charles Magnusson, who later went on to Hollywood. On the Film Museum, which is a branch of the Regional Museum Kristianstad, you see and experience it today completely intact film studio. Familiarize yourself with the pioneering days in Kristianstad through the exhibition which tells about this exciting period, and if the success of the Swedish silent films during the 1910s and 1920s.
