First Camp Åhus-Kristianstad camping just outside the city of Kristianstad on Skåne’s east coast is situated near a long wide stretch of beach, magical forests and calm fresh water lakes. Åhus has been a popular seaside resort since the end of the 18th century when it was visited by thousands every year enjoying the long white sandy beaches. At the camp site you’ll find a playground for children and right next to it an exciting adventure park. The centre of town is easy to reach and within a walking distance or a short cycle ride. There are also many interesting daytrips that can be enjoyed from this area, namely Åhus Museum, the exhibition “Absolut Vodka“, Ales Stenar (Ale’s Stones – prehistoric stone formations), the medieval castle, Glimmingehus in Simrishamn, the apple district Kivik, “Wallanders Ystad“ and Tosselilla, the amusement park.
