The River Helge a is the largest watercourse in Skane. It flows through the landscape into the Baltic Sea, though wetlands and seasonally flooded grasslands, past leafy forests and sandy arable land. The fishery conservation area is one of the largest and species-richest in Skane. Pike, perch, sea trout, salmon, pike-perch and a variety of carp are among the 36 documented species.
