Welcome to Salen Botaniska, Sweden's highest alpine botanical garden (800 m above sea level) at the start of Sodra Kungsleden. The garden is run by the non-profit association Salens Fjallbotaniska Vanner. The garden is situated high up on Koarskalsfjallet and has primarily Scandinavian alpine plants but also plants from the Alps. At present, over 400 plants are catalogized and marked.
