Moored off the island of Riddarholmen in the historic heart of Stockholm lies the hotel and restaurant Mälardrottningen. The boat dates from as far back as 1924 and has been visited down the years by statesmen, royalty and movie stars. A visit is well recommended to savour first class food and a fantastic view over the waters of central Stockholm, the city hall and old town. Choose between dishes such as: poached fillet of local pike perch with smoked eel and mussel; crispy roast breast of duck with roast root vegetables and potato baked in puff pastry. During the summer months, you can sit on the afterdeck with a glass of wine or try some of the dishes from the excellent buffet.
