About

If you're curious to know what's been served at the Nobel Prize banquets down the years, then you should head for Stadshuskällaren, a restaurant in the basement of Stockholm town hall, which hosts the annual ceremony. As the only restaurant in the world you can choose between any of the Nobel menus since 1901. Stockholm's town hall, with the three golden crowns on it's tower, has become a national and international symbol for Stockholm and Sweden. It contains the exquisite banqueting halls, Gyllene Salen (the Golden Hall) and Blå Hallen (the Blue Hall). For us food, beverage and creativity is the main focal point. Stadshuskällaren’s gastronomical concept can be described around the theme “In the forest. In the city” with produce and flavours linked to Swedish forest, land, sea, lakes, meadows and fields. The Swedish seasonal changes are important giving different content to the menu across the year. We also serves a traditional Swedish Christmas buffet in december.
