About

Bryggeriet Ångkvarn is Uppsala's first brewpub with a history dating back to Uppsala's industrialisation. Our history involves both Uppsala Bavarian Brewery, which was formed in 1865 and Uppsala Ångqvarn (steam mill), which was formed in 1874. Apart from the steam mill the company also had a famous distillery, macaroni factory and a yeast factory. Our brewery is visible directly behind the bar. You may enjoy a beer while watching our brewmaster brew the next beer and feel the wonderful smell of malt and hops. Our beers are only sold directly in our pub. Welcome to enjoy the most locally produced beer in Uppsala directly at the source. During our first year we have brewed a vide section of different beers. Why not start with a beer flight to find your favourite among them the beers currently served. A private more extensive beer tasting can be arranged for larger groups that book in advance. We use the finest local ingredients when preparing our dishes. Apart from the dishes in the gastropub we also offer the brewery's menu which contains three dishes that vary from week to week. The menu also includes an optional beverage package with beer and wine specially selected for the dishes served. We also offer a wide range of wines and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition to our own beer our focus is on providing a wide range of Swedish craft beer. Welcome to Uppsala's first and only brewpub.
